Poker Stars is home to the 2003 and 2004 WSOP champions.
Poker Stars currently offer the following ways to deposit :
Poker Stars is one of the only sites which dont offer a sign up bonus - they do have a rewards system called Frequent Player Points though.
The software is very straight forward and should load quickly on your pc. The chat box isnt huge however they do allow you to upload your picture or avatar so that it appears next to your name at the table. The design isnt the most advanced but it doesnt need to be - its plain design all you have to do is concentrate on is poker.
There is a note system plus you can block out chat from specific players which comes in handy when theres someone at the table you dont like mouthing off.
The lowest limits at Poker Stars are the $0.02/$0.04 tables. They go all the way up to $100/$200 tables. Something for everyone!
Poker Stars are one of the busiest poker sites on the web - the lowest ive seen it have is 10,000 players which is usually nighttime in North America. It's not a site you have to wait about for tables to fill.
Poker Stars have a good choice of tourneys. Their most famous tournaments are obviously their satelites to major tournaments such as the world series of poker - so far two WSOP champions got through to the final due to these satelites. Their sng's fill up quite quickly but my fave is the heads up games you can have.
Poker Stars have a lot of freerolls. However, the money at these arent the best and they're usually over subscribed - eg thousands of people fighting over a few hundred bucks. Neverless, it gives newbies plenty of options - plus a lot of sites, including Texas Hold Em Forums, run freerolls via Poker Stars.
Poker Stars is one of the few sites to not actively offer bonuses. So if your a bonus whore, go elsewhere.
Poker Stars is one of my favourite poker sites on the web. The design is a bit bland, they dont offer bonuses but if you just want a good place to play poker then you cant go far wrong with playing at Poker Stars.
